Trails Overview:
The park offers a 7-mile network of marked trails plus woods roads, some of them in hilly (even steep) terrain, while others are around the developed areas. The yellow trail is one that meanders through a wild and scenic portion of Bowdoin Park; short boardwalks are constructed into two widely separated small ponds. Click on the Web Map link on this site for a topographical map displaying eight or so trails.
Wappinger Greenway Trail enters the park off Channingville Road and ultimately turns south, co-aligned with Bowdoin Park trails. For a walking map of the Wappinger Greenway Trail that includes Bowdoin Park use the hiking trails link below under "Directions."
Here is a detailed description of a 5-mile loop hike that traverses both the greenway trail and the park.
