Montrose Point State Forest
In 2000, Montrose Point State Forest was purchased by Trust for Public Land and turned over to NY State Department of Environmental Conservation. Unlike other state forests, no camping or hunting is permitted. An easement across adjacent property allows access to Montrose Point Road and hence to George's Island Park.
Trails Overview:
The trails go through the woods to interesting destinations. The heavy invasives along the path are indicative of disturbed soils.
